The disease riddled West Coast Eagles will take on Fremantle with one of their best teams of recent Derby clashes. Not so much on ability but, with covid crippling their regulars they have had to pick some players who aren't entirely tainted by the West Coast culture, some not even having any history with the police. Which means there's an outside chance that no Fremantle player will leave the ground on a stretcher after mysteriously falling down behind the play. Fremantle are without Justin Longmuir due to covid issues but unfortunately decided against giving Troy Longmuir the gig and are letting Jamie Graham have a crack. Bailey Banfield, Griffin Logue and Joel Hamling have been left out, while Caleb Serong and Sean Darcy are injured. Brandon Walker, Brennan Cox, Matt Taberner and Neil Erasmus come in.
