Geelong have flown into town, presumably riddled with covid and smelling like cheese like all Victorians, for a midweek game against the Dockers in the rain. It's an enticing fixture, and fans are expected to show up by the dozen, particularly considering that the last time Fremantle hosted a game of football, people in Sydney still remembered what the sky looks like. After last week's humiliation of Hawthorn, Justin Longmuir was reluctant to make any changes but couldn't help himself in the end, given Brandon Walker a week off so Ethan Hughes could get another run. Connor Blakely is back on the emergency list after spending last week as the substitute. Geelong have brought back Joel Selwood so more changes are expected next week, due to the inevitable suspension of a Freo player for high contact.
