It hasn't been a great week for Fremantle, losing a derby and Michael Walters on the same day was a bad start and then the whole thing that Ross Lyon couldn't possibly comment on because of the AFL policy which came to a head when Basil Zempilas had an unsuccessful crack at journalism midweek. In all the excitement, the selection committee struggled to get themselves organised so they've just thrown a bunch of blokes onto the extended bench in the hope that one of them will be able to replace Michael Walters. While you suspect Basil had a better chance at successful journalism, good luck to the players prepared to have a crack - Brennan Cox, Shane Kersten, Tommy Sheridan, Ethan Hughes and Ryan Nyhuis.
