Were Dante alive today he may well have added a tenth circle of Hell, sitting in a wet seat watching Matthew Pavlich not getting a kick in his 350th game, while Fremantle go down by the biggest margin of the year in a season that should have been taken out the back and shot 16 weeks ago. Of course, Fremantle supporters have seen far worse in their time and, as the margin approached 100 points they got behind the big man and inspired him on to a couple of last quarter goals. But it won't be a game he'll spend much of his post footy life looking back on. The Swans took advantage of the gale and put on an early lead, Fremantle's only goal for the opening quarter came when Pavlich disappointed the crowd by handballing to Matt Taberner in the goal square. There were many at the ground quite buoyant that Fremantle had done well to restrict the Swans scoring with the wind, but they were quickly put in their place and the Swans kept the scoring up in the second quarter before running rampant in the third quarter and shutting any hope Fremantle's pride remaining in tact. The final margin was 90 points which is Fremantle worst effort of the year (so far).
Fremantle lost by 90 points.
