Fremantle were expecting a change of venue this week, after their scout reported back that a meteorite had turned the city of Geelong to a deserted wasteland but it turns out that’s what it always looks like, so Fremantle are back on the bus and off to Simonds Park - or whatever they’re calling it this year. Rather than pour over the Geelong list and come up with some sort of elaborate game plan to beat a team that’s falling apart faster than their hometown, Ross Lyon decided to chuck a few blokes on the end of the bench then sort it out on the bus. Which means that Mzungu and Taberner have joined Hayden Crozier on the extended bench. Geelong have loaded up with extras as well, just dropping Steven Motlop for drinking on Good Friday. He’s just lucky he didn’t order a meat pie to go with it.
