Legend has it that there used to be a great big white bird, called The Kybra, one day it spread its wings and flew west and kept going until it disappeared over the horizon. The lucky bastard. A lot of people would like to join it out there, after having to watch Fremantle get absolutely belted by Port Adelaide. Fremantle were smashed in the opening quarter, and then smashed again in the second quarter. The Port Adelaide midfield feeling more crowded when they were self isolating from covid than the pressure comes from their opponents. It was an ugly sight if you were from the west. The third quarter was a different story though. Fremantle supporters who had stuck with the game learned to hope again. The Dockers were slick, and skilful and smart and not entirely useless in front of goals. They got within 21 points of the Power during the fourth quarter, but eventually had to concede they weren't going to get there, with Port piling on some cheap late ones to push the final margin back out to 46 points.
