Fremantle have stormed into the top 4, with a stunning performance against GWS that took them to a 34 point victory. Undermanned and without a coach, Fremantle were expected to struggle against the very highly fancied other team from Sydney. It looked like the Dockers were going to have the game sewn up by half time, with Freo dominating the opening quarter but unusually struggling to kick straight (a little known side effect of Covid is not being able to see two big white sticks directly in front of you, if David Mundy is any indication). But the Giants put up a fight was a tight tussle for the next couple of quarters, with many a Freo supporter keen to politely let the Freo players know that they were less than hopeful of a victory. But Freo kicked on in the last quarter and humilated the Giants in emphatic style.
Fremantle won by 34 points.
