Mitch Crowden brought 30,000 fans of football to their feet, with a stunning passage of play that had newcomers to The Owl experience scratching their heads and wondering how he was able to see so far behind his head. And while all credit cant' go to the one player, in this case it was deserved. Sure, Matt Taberner kicked a lazy 4 goals and the entire midfield looked rebuilt with Nat Fyfe in there. The backline will probably want a mention for their day of unrelenting pressure but they won't get it because all anyone will want to talk about for the rest of the season is Crowden's goal...also that Fremantle won. But that happens nearly every month so that's not that big a deal.
