Fremantle have taken to playing football like someone trying to assemble an IKEA bookcase without the instructions. They've got all the parts and a rough idea about what the end product should look like but they've got no idea how to get there. You could have been forgiven for thinking a quirk in the fixture had seen Fremantle playing top of the ladder Adelaide again, rather than bottom of the ladder Brisbane, with the Dockers unable to kick a goal for most of the first quarter and barely bothering the goal umpire for much of the second half. Thanks to Brisbane traditionally being rubbish and Fremantle approaching competence for parts of the second quarter, there was still hope at half time that the Dockers could turn it around and limp into the bye with an ugly 4 points but they returned to form in the third quarter and the Lions made the most of it, kicking their biggest score for the season and notching their second win, in front of their friends and family.
Fremantle lost by 57 points.
