Good Lord. Fremantle have won a game. Not just won, they dazzled and set the new stadium alight with multiple goal quarters, marks from leads, kicks that went to the bloke they were aimed at and scintillating runs into open spaces. Matt Taberner started up forward while Nat Fyfe and Michael Walters had he ball on a string. The new blokes held their own and the new ground looks to be a winner too...at least for half the state. Fremantle lead the Bombers all day with a more open, more direct style of football that only occasionally descended into flooding their own forward line in the hope someone will kick a goal out of their arse rather than last week where it was plans A-F. The win was the first AFL win for a home team at the new stadium and gives the Dockers an opportunity to distinguish themselves from all the leper teams with no wins.
Fremantle won by 16 points.
