Fremantle have handed out a football lesson to the rest of the competition with their win over the Gaints - you don't need to worry about being pretty at this time of the year, just worry about winning. Fremantle dominated the game when they needed to, taking an early lead with goals to Mundy and Walters, thankfully only one of which celebrated his cultural heritage with a dance, football has had a rough enough week without having to endure an impromptu rendition of The Locomotion. By halftime the points were as good as Fremantle and the game meandered along for the rest of the afternoon. Michael Walters provided a decent amount of excitement with his 4 goals while Zac Dawson kept the fans behind the goals amused by winding up Jeremy Cameron. The win puts Fremantle a game and a half clear on top of the ladder after Hawthorn choked against the Tigers and the Eagles were unable to get in front of the Gold Coast reserves team.
Fremantle won by 21 points.
