Fremantle have spectacularly produced an 80 point turnaround from their loss to the Crows last week, with a spirited, albeit unsuccessful, performance against the very highly regard Collingwood Magpies. Fremantle were on the backfoot early, attempting to keep their balance as their laughter at Collingwood's efforts in front of goals drew hysterical laughter but the Magpies were to have the last laugh. Fremantle made the most of Collingwood's mistakes, keeping themselves in touch for most of the game despite their inability to string patches of competence together, but when the game got to the pointy end and the result was in the balance, it was Fremantle's turn to have what sports psychologists refer to as a spaz attack. Chance went begging, player's careers fell in the toilet and the Collingwood found themselves in the unfamiliar position of having a win.
Fremantle lost by 20 points.
