What was that? Last week, beautiful ball movement, creative running, hard tackling and more scoring shots that we knew what to do with...this week, presumably they'd given up the grog for lent and went on a midnight bender. The Berocca kept them lively in the first quarter, and they had plenty of answers for Carlton, despite not making the most of some of them, but by the second quarter they had the shakes and seemed to all be hiding in the pocket looking for shade. It was a tough ask in and indoor stadium and it wasn't long before the game had slipped away from them, with Carlton booting 6 goals to Freo's 1. The third quarter didn't go much better, but Fremantle gradually got in a position where they looked like the know how to play football, and thy didn't embarrass themselves in the last but they damage was done, with Carlton winning by 45 points.
Fremantle lost by 45 points.
