The Dockers have cemented their position at the bottom of the ladder with their sixth loss for the season after a total of six attempts. Fremantle flirted with competence in Adelaide but found they didn't care for it. They started well, David Mundy's absence couldn't be fully appreciated until he returned and took ownership of the footy, moving the ball well and looking like a group of people who could pass themselves off as a football team. A few early misses were put down to an unusual wind at the Adelaide Oval. 12 behinds later for just two goals suggested it was probably more of a launch issue than a flight issue, and as Adelaide straightened up a took a commanding lead, things started falling apart. There was a little bit of a scoreboard revival when Michael Walters started getting the footy late in the game but the Crows were thinking of bigger things by then and Fremantle were fighting hard, presumably to protect their valuable percentage.
Fremantle lost by 33 points.
