Fremantle head to sunny Queensland this week to take on by far the least obnoxious of the teams with Coast in their name. Gary Ablett's kid has decided he can't be arsed finishing another season so he's decided not to play, forcing the next richest player, Matthew Pavlich, to withdraw, as he didn't want to end up shouting the bar after the game - as is the custom on the Gold Coast. Michael Barlow was in no danger of being next in line but he pulled out anyway, giving some story about a shoulder operation and Hayden Ballantyne busted his drinking bone so he wasn't going to front up either way. The good news is that it opens the way for Shane Yarran who has spent most of the season arguing with the medical staff about his fitness. He finally won and they've given him a game. Zac Clarke is also back and Ross Lyon has forgiven Ed Langdon for pinching his parking spot.
