Quite frankly I couldn't bring myself to visit this, or any other AFL related site since the meltdown we all witnessed.
I've tried to avoid the hysteria and it worked pretty well.
However, another effort like that could just do me in. If we drop another game like that and you don't see a post or blog from me, send round the medics.
Anyway, seeing as most of us would've worked out by now what we stand for, I'll move on to my place on the Blog Board, the Rankings.
1(1) Geebung - They handled an undermanned but very committed side pretty well in the end.
2(2) Hawks - Looking forward to seeing them tested. By the way, that isn't until Rd 15 now. Happy times for the Hawks but I have to say, this is a marshmallow soft draw for them.
3(3) Bullies - Passed a pretty good test. Laugh as the rest of the league will, this week could be a bigger test for them. 1 thing that Freo does well is follow up crap efforts with really good efforts.
4(4) Cows - Rounding off an unchanged top 4. Comfortable win for them at home against an average side last time up. Should go again this week as the Demons will be concentrating on draft picks again this week.
5(7) Aints - Last 3 weeks in the rankings 5, 7 and now 5. Honeymooners bums have less movement. now if only they could work out what they stand for.
6(11) Port - HUGE jump for this time of year no doubt. Every team in the bottom half of the eight (bar Brissie) got their pants pulled down last game. So its a big leap by default.
7(8) Brisbane - Lost at KP to the Cats without Brown and Black, 2 very important colours. They showed plenty until late.
8(9) Richomond - Tough loss to the Aints but they were the better side on the night in my not so humble opinion. I still think they suck and no group of supporters deserves Wallet more than this spittle ridden rabble, so good luck to them.
9(6) Syd - Best of the worst performers. They just couldn't match it in the end against a side they would normally have strangled to death after getting that lead early. troubling signs.
10(5) North - THAT was the Roos you can expect to see much more of. They'll have some good runs, but like last year in the finals, they'll regularly get spanked by good teams.
11(12) Blooze - What a wonderful start they gave us to the last round of games. Isn't it nice watching Judd without wanting to see him blow his knee out?
12(10) Wobblers - Talk about a wake up call. Cop that you whining, manipulating, sulky ponce. Your team is underachieving as much asd any other and you need to look in a mirror.
13(16) Demons - They got a sniff and everyone else could smell it too. I think everyone reading this knew they would win even before they hit the lead. Thats a sad comment about their opponents though.
14(13) Freo - Most would expect a bigger drop. Before you gob off too much though, cop a look at those below us. Both of them lost big, at home and haven't fired a shot for weeks.
15(14) Essenscum - Dear Mrs Knights, you have a few lightning quick Aboriginal kiddies who are great to watch. But your job is not to fill up the highlights reel, its to develop a team, maybe you could concentrate on some other tactics now?
16(15) Woossa's Woossies - The only thing more pathetic than their performances this year was The Fraud's half time interview. "We" goes to "Them" mighty quickly in those parts. I have more respect and admiration for the skidmark Hitler left in his jocks when he heard the mortars going off in Berlin than I do for that "coach".
Too harsh? Bugger it, I'm still grumpy. Bring on this week.
