What you are forgetting Mushy is that Carlton were behind when Acres took that risk and they had to take risks to win it. Importantly, Blacres still had enough gut running left to get to the ball without his opponent being anywhere in sight. He created the two on one, which won the game. His opponent should have gone with him as they had to defend the lead but he either chose not to (poor decision) or couldn’t (Acres had better stamina). Blacres risk and run won them the game. The hypothetical spoil that you mentioned might have saved the game for Melbourne, but Acres would still have been doing the right thing by taking the risk to try and win it.

Look, I realise that some people can't see anything but politics and think that the loud and the rich are representative of everyone below them.

I'm able to empathise with the regular people who go along to the footy and support their team through good and bad. It makes me happy to see them having some fun with their team in the finals after a lot of disappointment. I will mock and taunt them when they lose but only in the spirit of being a supporter of a rival football team, and they will take it and give it back twice as much because Carlton supporters, like Fremantle supporters, are one of the reasons supporting a football team is fun.

You sound like Paul Murray.

Carlton supporters were spitting on their players 12 weeks ago.

Your dislike of Acres doesn't really cut it RM. You've been saying the same thing for a couple years now. He wouldnt be any good at Fremantle and yet last year he showed his worth by a great second half of the season and finals campaign.
You then said to wait and see him show his true colours at Carlton, well he has but not what you were telling us. He's had a great year.
Now you're moving on to well what about next year, he won't be as good then because he'll just sit on his contract and won't perform. That's really clutching at straws.
We got a ridiculous pick 58 for a bloke who would be a walk up start at Fremantle, is playing better than any of our current wingmen and would get a game at any AFL side given his form.
And on things for sure I would rather we kept him and gave him the money we used in getting O'Meara.

At least they’re a club with a song that supporters and players alike will sing, I suppose. Unlike a certain purple one.

But just like blue and gold teams run by bikies, you can’t seriously tolerate the mafiosi for fun.

I’m happy for Blake. And the best thing for this year would be Carlton and another team from the lower half of the eight in the Granny.

There’s a big, big sound…

Well, I'm now hoping for a Blake vs Jessie Grand Final.

I know, it is more likely to be Lachie vs Nobody (.....except if maybe Leigh Brown is spotted in the crowd wearing his old jumper).

Mushroom, watch the women's side sing the club song. It's brilliant when you sing it right and the men's side really need to get on board.
Nathan: When did you get balls?
Simon: I've always had balls you've just never seen them.
Nathan: That's the gayest thing I've ever heard.

I do, Bizkit, and lament.

FreoW are thinkers. FreoBloke are not.

This was Sausage Rolls Connolly’s legacy. And for one with a modicum of musical appreciation, he really screwed this one up!

Speaking of thinkers, and back to topic sort of, what the hell was Max Gawn thinking touching Clayton Oliver’s shot on the goal line with 3 minutes to go? It would have put Acres gut running out of the equation.
