Clearly it was not handled well, but if you haven’t got the full facts it’s hard to determine where the truth lies. For example, the complainants have said they didn’t seek financial compensation, where today Jason Burt through his lawyer is claiming that’s not correct.
As reported by the ABC today:
‘In a statement, Burt's lawyer Tony Hargreaves said the allegations made by the complainants and assertions made in the open letter were wrong.
"It is simply not true that the complainants have not been seeking financial compensation," Mr Hargreaves said on his client's behalf.’
