If we lead to space, shepherd the way we have the last 2 weeks to protect the ball carrier, kick to a teammate instead of behind him, and use the ability of Blakely in traffic, Crozier off half back and our runners, Weller, Tucker Langdon (may come in for Weller soon) and D Pearce outside we can compete with the best. The way we played on at every opportunity and moved the ball BEFORE the opposition had a chance to set up was the key, and it was the way we played earlier rounds last year.
Pearce cops a lot of criticism about his ability to go missing in tough games, but when he gets a bit of shepherding from teammates and a couple of forwards offering him a target up forward there aren't many who hit up targets 55 or 60 mt upfield as well as him
