The AFL website comments around the 50 mt penalty to Darcy just on half time show how much regard these clowns have for Freo. Blatant 50, and they are on the Tigers case that it was not 50.

That photo reminds me of the images related to the now outlawed practice employed by US cops to restrain suspects - the most infamous concerned a death of the suspect.

Do you mean this description RM: “After the half-time siren, Docker Sean Darcy became the first multiple goalkicker of the game in unusual circumstances. With a stoppage on the paint of Fremantle's attacking 50 on the eve of the break, Darcy was paid a free kick for being held as he contested the ball up milliseconds before the siren sounded. Tiger Thomson Dow, on hearing the siren, dropped the footy instead of giving it to Darcy, leading the umpires to call a 50m penalty and walk Darcy to the goalsquare, all in front of an irate Richmond-heavy crowd.”

Lousy AFL, always trying to run us down with their factual and uncontroversial descriptions of events.

Sorry guys, I've read that a number of times and I don't think that it's saying that the decision was wrong, just it was unusual, which it was. And that all the Richmond morons behind the goals went nuts about it. To me it just states as it happened

Again, Freo cop a kick in the guts. Or if you prefer, a knee drop to the neck. It was only a couple of weeks ago Amiss copped a couple of off the ball blows to the kidneys, after being out with a serious kidney injury last year. On his return to footy after a concussion, that went unpunished, he gets a knee to the neck that was probably aimed at his head. Because the Richmond coach reckons it was just a couple of young players "going at it", no punishment.

Oh for a player who is prepared to take one for the team by retaliating in a similar manner to these physical and illegal attacks on Amiss and Treacy.

So deliberately dropping a knee into a player you are holding down on the ground isn't intentional? What a corrupt setup those MRP clowns are.

How much was second gamer Cooper Simpson fined for a bit of jumper pulling resulting from the low impact drop knee to the head of a recently concussed team mate?

In years gone by, these gutless acts like dropping a knee into the head, punching guys in the kidneys and back or generally deliberate but today called careless acts were frequently met by more drastic retaliatory action which often resulted in the payer who inflicted the initial act being helped off the field either on a stretcher or in the arms of trainers. Now I know we have eradicated the more violent acts from our game but with little prospect of being hurt by such retaliatory actions these gutless snipers are allowed to get away with any dirty little thuggery that they want which goes unpunished by the MRO/Tribunal. If they really want to clean up the game these guys need to be punished and given proper discouragement by giving significant suspensions not just taking away their pocket money. And they need to be identified more correctly as deliberate acts not careless. If you drop a knee on an opponents head or punch a guy in the back it is a deliberate act not careless. It wasn't an accident.

I thought Longmuir sounded like an aggrieved parent. "Manhandled".

Tell them he's being targeted off the ball. And this is where you need a player to get into the full back.

That would be ideal Hypen but I'm sure if Treacy or Voss were to do anything it would automatically be graded intentional or deliberate and met with a 3 or 4 week ban

It's for this reason that I like the idea of Darcy spending 5 minutes spells in the forward line each quarter. He's a big unit, and I reckon he could use a game or two off every year to be rested.

I reckon he should mention that to the opposition fullbacks when he's down there. Something like "I'll be back here in 20 mins, and if you don't pull your head in I think it might be time for a two week rest."

This is why I liked the game that Patrick Voss played against the Bulldogs. Just in the first quarter he had unloaded 2 very physical tackles on Bulldogs defenders and I think they were definitely looking over their shoulders a lot of the time and not concentrating fully on their defensive duties including physically assaulting our forwards. I'd love to see Voss out there every week but I'm not sure how we can do it once Amiss came back into the mix.

I have been saying that for a while, Gumnut, and we do need someone to take a suspension for the team. We could always use the "Vossy is a good bloke, but when he saw Jye get kneed in the head, he had to make someone pay" defense. Just getting the video of Amiss getting that knee in the head would open up some discussion. So far the media hasn't had the guts to go against the official afl line and call out Miller or the afl.
