I think Exceed has exceeded him/her self. Do we know Exceed?
Others might think about Ballas with the expectation that he is to be vilified, penalised, criticised ..., but I spent many years as a kid hating Jack Sheedy ... but only when he was playing for East Perth, so I know how they think.
Ballantyne is a victim of his own outstanding capacity as a footballer. I can still remember one of last year's Subi games when he ran from CHB to the wing to intercept, correctly, the next player in the opposition link up. Any number of times he has run harder than his team mates to lay a tackle. He knows his footy. He doesn't leave anything behind.
Ballantyne is also a victim of media and institutional prejudice, IMO.
He was unfairly treated in last week's MRP farce. As I look at the vision, his intention was to enter the contest, not to 'knee' Shaw. His subsequent love tap on Shaw was exactly the same as one given by Luke Hodge to Stevie Johnston, which did not warrant mention by the MRP.
