Watched a fair bit of Majak Daw playing for Werribee in this mornings VFL replay from last weekend

Kicked 3 in the first quarter, 4 up until 3 quarter time against Port Melbourne who have been one of the better sides in that competition of recent years. Finished with 5 in losing side.

Marked strongly in the forward line, though only a few were contested, but his set shot kicking was the highlight. Dead straight - almost textbook drop of the ball onto the boot.

As for his ruck work, it took the umpires until half way through the 3rd quarter to make a centre square bounce that wasn't recalled for a throw up - much to the amusement of the locals. This probably negated some of his leap, but in any case he usually got his hands to the ball.

More Jack Hannath than Zac Clarke with his chase and tackling skills.

I reckon we call him Chips – as in chip on the shoulder. He reckons he is so good that the coach is mad for not letting him play. Lets hope his petulance is merely a cover for his seething desire to play for Fremantle.
