Fremantle captain Matthew Pavlich will rejoin full training next week after a frustrating off-season spent recovering from back, hip and Achilles tendon surgery.
The 31-year-old has been on a restricted program since late January but says he remains on course to play in one of the Dockers' final two NAB Cup games.
Pavlich will take part in a football session this weekend with other players not selected in Saturday's pre-season opener against West Coast and Geelong, then hopefully join the full squad early next week.
"I've almost had enough of one-on-one footy training sessions," he said. "I did a pretty solid training session (on Monday) with Ryan Crowley and the fitness staff and a couple of assistant coaches.
"Hopefully I'll be doing the same later this week and likely train in a football session with the guys that miss out on Saturday.
