Fremantle ruckman and new father Aaron Sandilands was fit and firing for his first day of pre-season with his teammates this morning.
Sandilands, who had a baby girl last week, joined training with the main group today after long break away from the club.
The big man said he was loving fatherhood but suffering from sleep deprivation.
“I am thoroughly enjoying it and mum and bub are both going very well,” he said.
“I am used to sleeping about 12 hours a day and bub is waking up every three or four so it is a learning curve for me.”
Sandilands revealed his daughter had not lived up to his giant proportions by being born a normal 2.3kg and 50cm.
After suffering turf toe on both his feet over the past two seasons, Sandilands said he was 100 per cent confident in the troublesome feet now.
