Former Fremantle Dockers’ captain and inaugural Doig Medallist Peter Mann has been elected to the club’s board of directors.
Fremantle president Steve Harris announced the results of the club’s ninth annual Member Election tonight at the Annual Members’ Meeting at the Esplanade Hotel.
Mann, 42, who played 77 games for Fremantle and captained the club in 1997 and 1998, will join inaugural club captain and fellow member-elected director Ben Allan on the board when he starts his two-year term on 1 December.
The six-strong field of candidates included Kate Grieve, who was seeking a third term as a member-elected director.
2391 people, or 9.87 per cent of the club’s 24,237 eligible voting members, cast a vote.
The results for the first three candidates were as follows:
